Parents & Friends

Footscray West Primary School Parents and Friends Group

Who we are: We are a group of friends and parents connected with Footscray West Primary who aim to provide a pathway to support the school and its students. We organise events that aim to deepen our community connection and at the same time provide resources for the school.

To have a strong and vibrant parents and friends community we need the efforts and talents of all members and we would welcome your involvement and passion.

What we do: Activities organised by the group include the ever popular mothers and fathers day stalls, a community market, the second hand uniform stall, fundraising activities such as sausage sizzles and raffles. We use any funds raised to contribute to projects that enhance the school community and student experience such as the grade 6 graduation ceremony.

How can you help: You can join parents and friends as a general member, stand for an elected position or just drop into a meeting.  If you don’t want to be regularly involved in the committee but can assist for particular events such as used uniform shop or stalls then please let us know (if you are caring for younger children they can also attend). The committee meets monthly in the evenings at the school and dates will be advertised in the school newsletter. All events and meetings are also listed in the school calendar. Elections for president, treasurer and secretary positions occur in March each year.

Contact: or look out for general information in the weekly school newsletter.

Drop into a meeting to say hello or contact us through the school office.
